LFCS Holiday Home Tour 2015- this Saturday 9-4

This Saturday, December 5th is the annual LFCS Holiday Home Tour. As usual there will be six beautiful homes on the tour and tastefully decorated for Christmas and the holiday season. This year the refreshment stop will be at Aloha Pools & Spa; there will be games and give-a-ways all day. There are a few more volunteer spots that we need to fill to help everything go smooth that day, so if you're interested please remember if you volunteer you get your ticket 1/2 off. Since January 2013 I've been working along side Janet and Rob Rueseler to design their brand new custom home on Royal Lake Drive. Now that it is finished, Janet and Rob have decided to open their house to everyone and their home will be one of the six houses on the tour this year. If you've been wanting to see my work or you're getting ready to start a new protect, this is a great opportunity to see some of my work.

In advance, thank you for helping LFCS. It is a wonderful organization that I personally give my time and energy to and in doing so, I have the ability to see how the gifts I have been blessed with can benefit others; allowing me to give back.

Think...Gordonville Grill

Did you know....

Gordonville Grill takes 10% of all their sales received each Tuesday and donates it to a good cause. This Tuesday, tomorrow, if you stop by for lunch or dinner, take your meal to go or have it delivered/catered or even stop by for a drink after work they will donate this week's 10% to Lutheran Family Children Services. LFCS is a non-for-profit that helps many people of all ages for many different reasons. I've been volunteering on the LFCS Holiday Home Tour for the past three years and have seen the good work they do. Please help them tomorrow by purchasing your lunch or dinner at Gordonville Grill for yourself or for your work meeting over lunch.

Exterior Finishes

Today I'm selecting exterior finishes to recommend to a client that is adding on to their existing home. Merging old with the new, his likes vs her likes and the vast myriad of colors and materials is only part of the challenge. Sometimes the client doesn't know exactly how to put it into words what he/she likes. If you're a good listener, ask lots of questions, take notes and use visual examples to explain the difference between styles; you'll achieve the UNIQUE AMBIANCE they're looking for.

Progress @ Peters Residence

I stopped by my client's house to measure for a bedroom window seat and breakfast nook cushions. Things are really coming together thanks to Ronnie Westbecher, his crew, the subs and the Peters. All of the hours put into design time are paying off- fireplaces, coffered ceiling, barn doors, lighting, cabinetry and custom tile layouts. It looks great and I can't wait to see the finished product. I'm saving the basement fireplace till I get to take the finished photos.
